Ana Mendes Godinho has a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
She is currently the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security of the XXII Constitutional Government.
Here are some of her past engagements:
She was Secretary of State for Tourism of the XXI Constitutional Government, from 2015 to 2019.
She was director of the Inspective Activity Support Services of the Authority for Working Conditions and coordinator of the postgraduate course in Tourism Law at the Lisbon Faculty of Law.
She was vice-president of Turismo de Portugal, I.P., and vice-president of the General Council of the Special Real Estate Fund for Business Support.
She was Portugal's representative on the ISO / Tourism Technical Committee.
She was administrator of Turismo Capital, SCR, SA., administrator of Turismo Fundos, SGFII, SA., and member of the advisory board of Fundação Inatel.
She was head of the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Tourism of the XVII Constitutional Government.
She was Labor Inspector and Legal Adviser to the Directorate-General for Tourism.
