Miguel Muñoz Duarte is an innovation and entrepreneurship professor, innovation facilitator and consultant, an experienced entrepreneur and a business angel and preseed investor in early stage startups. As Adjunct Professor at Nova SBE - School of Business and Economics, he teaches Entrepreneurship and Innovation to Undergraduates, Masters, MBA’s and Executive Education. He is also a guest lecturer in other European Business schools like ISCTE Business School, RSM University and TIAS University. Previously, he was as a marketing manager and head of innovation in several FMCG companies like Henkel and Danone, with more than 10 years’ experience in Portugal, Spain, USA, and Mexico, where he had also responsabilities for the LATAM innovation. In 2004, after returning from Mexico, he became an entrepreneur and has since founded and developed several companies, consulting and facilitating innovation for several big corporations. He is the co-founder of several firms including: • IMATCH - innovation consulting collective works with big corporates, startups and • NOW_ coworking and co-innovation space, • UNGAP Education, an innovative education enrichment startup, serving several universities and many graduates to bridge the gap with innovative careers and the job-market Miguel has done hundred of keynote speeches in several big corporates, and he has advised and assumed the role of board-member in several executive boards s like Auchan group or the innovative programming school École 42. Besides all of this, he still finds time to be an active member of the growing startup Portuguese ecosystem, having organised, supported and mentored in many Startup Acceleration programs, and worked alongside with hundreds of entrepreneurs, having helped to launch, grow and fund many startups since 2004. Miguel was born in 1975, he is half Portuguese, half Spanish (and Mexican by adoption). He currently lives in sunny Lisbon with his wife and three beautiful children.
