Blue Planet energy were pivoting from B2B to B2C and needed a new brand platform to effectively communicate its vision and product.

Future Works analyzed the global energy system market and defined a brand platform that showcased their best in class products and solutions in a way that empowered installers and distributors and excited end customers.

Updated Global Identity

Future Works forged an identity that modernized, elevated and legitimized the Blue Planet Energy brand. We inherited the Japanese Ensō from a bygone phase and built out a professional but forward facing design system to speak to the installer and dealer audience segment.

The Blue Wave Mark

Future Works explored multiple options for the flagship product the Blue Wave. We incorporated themes of energy and solar to see if there was a strong route forward. The Ensō brand mark prevailed as it tethered the sub brand with the master.

Application Considerations

The new identity design system had to work in multiple applications from industrial design, software to marketing materials. Future works considered these applications and created depth to the system to accommodate each application effectively.

Awash with Gradient

Future Works integrated a blue gradient into the design system to reference the ocean, “Blue Wave”, and transformation of the company and industry.

Vision and Product Driven Website.

Future Works designed a best in class website which clearly communicated Blue Planet Energy’s brand position and showcased the wide range of digital products and solutions.

Addressing Installer and Distributor Needs

Ease of engagement with Installers and Distributors were absolutely central to the goals of the website. Presenting detailed specifications and elevated shots of the product in a simple and intuitive fashion were top of mind.

Easy Product Comparison

Blue Plant Energy have multiple products which target different end customer needs. Future Works designed a simple product comparison module to help Installers and Distributors see the differences in product and drill down into the detail.
