Ursa Major

FW was tasked to unify the fragmented Ursa Major brand and create a system that would serve the Master Brand and the Sub Brands of the engines for years to come.

Future Works immersed itself in the Aerospace and Hypersonic industry to identify a brand position that was going to differentiate Ursa Major and pave the way to success.

The Brand Strategy underpinned a very bold Visual Identity system that is striking, capturing the essence of the Brand, Product, and Ursa Major Team. FW used inspiration from ascension, propulsion, the stars, and alien-type pattern to forge the wordmark.

FW integrated brand messaging, with video, photography, illustration, and motion design to introduce the updated brand and product offering.

Small animated moments were brought in to reference space culture and retro touches to enrich the brand experience.

FW creative directed all of the photography across the site, from the team members to the product renders. Showing the team in action was core to our strategy of representing a team in action and producing best-in-class engines.

One of the key considerations for the Brand strategy and Website was to ensure Ursa Major expressed the exciting, dynamic, and successful working environment it provides its employees.

To enrich the onboarding experience for new employees Future Works created an avatar engine dubbed the “Ursie Maker”. This allowed new employees to express who they are personally through the lens of the Ursa Major brand. There are thousands of fun combinations to be made.

We satisfied this very unique request from Ursa Major team with pleasure. At Future Works we love embedding unique details, character and an element of fun in our partner’s projects.
